How to Make Tomato Pulp from Fresh Tomatoes?

Tomato pulp is a basic raw material widely used in the food industry, often used to make ketchup, soup, condiments, etc. But how to make tomato pulp from fresh tomatoes? In factories, due to the large scale of production, specialized equipment and processes are usually used to efficiently make tomato pulp. 1. Raw material preparation

First, the factory needs to select fresh, ripe tomatoes. Usually, the varieties with bright red color and full fruit are selected to ensure the quality of tomato pulp. The tomatoes are washed before use to remove the dirt and impurities on the surface.

 

2. Tomato pulping machine

In the process of tomato processing, the tomato pulping machine is a key equipment. This machine can quickly crush the cleaned tomatoes into pulp. The pulping machine is generally made of stainless steel to ensure food safety and durability.

 

The working principle of the pulping machine is as follows:

Cutting and crushing: The blades inside the machine will rotate rapidly, cutting the tomatoes into small pieces and crushing them to release the tomato juice.

Sieving: After pulping, the pulp will pass through the sieve to separate the solid tomato skin and seeds, ensuring the delicate taste of the final product.

 

3. Heating and Concentrating

The tomato pulp will be transported to the heating equipment for heating treatment. The main purpose of heating is:

Sterilization: High temperature treatment can effectively kill microorganisms in the tomato pulp and extend the shelf life.

Concentration: Heating can also remove some water, increase the concentration of tomato pulp, and enhance its flavor and use effect.

 

4. Cooling and Packaging

After the heat treatment, the tomato pulp needs to be cooled quickly to prevent deterioration. The cooling process generally uses a chiller to cool the pulp by running cold water or air. The cooled tomato pulp will be transported to the packaging area. At this point, the factory will use automated packaging equipment to pack the tomato pulp into appropriate containers, such as bottles, cans or bags. Sterility must be ensured during the packaging process to avoid contamination.

 

In the factory, using modern equipment such as tomato pulping machines, large quantities of tomato pulp can be produced efficiently and hygienically. The whole process is simple and hygienic, which can better meet market demand.
